Pre-K
Our top-notch Pre-K class is consistently excelling in Early Literacy. Ms. Ann is our Pre-K teacher. They combine the A Beka Book curriculum and phonics. This combination has caused many of our Pre-K graduates to be placed in 1st grade reading levels while still in Kindergarten. The enjoy books, board games, puzzles, dramatic play, and many other fun, learning activities.
Preschool
Ms. Asante teaches our energetic Preschool class. She reinforce Alphabets, Numbers, Shapes, and Colors. They are encouraged to be themselves through Show and Tell and games such as “I like ______ because…” The Preschoolers are also gradually taught discipline for sitting for short periods of time. They learn Manners and “Magic Words.” Our Preschoolers are also taught to respect others and to respect property. They are also taught to express their “feelings” and given ideas on how to behave when they are having a not so good day.
Toddlers
Ms. Mattie, Ms. Priscilla, and Ms. Antoinette are the teachers for our bubbly Toddler Class. The Toddlers are introduced and reintroduced to Letters, Shapes, Colors, and Numbers. Because they are not able to sit for long periods of time, their schedule is not “set in stone” and they have a “learn by play environment.” They enjoy age appropriate art projects that we show off from time to time. Once parents begin consistent toilet learning at home, we will reinforce their child at the Center.
